Our students: real persons, real professionals
The courses of Study at the Faculty of Medical Sciences are structured on strict pedagogic criteria and they offer the possibility of getting in touch with the most modern technical and organisational structures and the most recent standards of effectiveness and efficacy.
Knowledge, understanding and application of knowledge derive from didactic methodologies able to holistically combine “how to do” with “how to be”.
Thanks to frontal lessons, lead study, exercises and technical-practical testing, tutor’s support, apprenticeships and clinical practice in Swiss facilities or abroad, L.U.de.S. Faculty of Medical Science qualifies professionals carrying out operational tasks in public and private sanitary facilities, able to work in multidisciplinary teams in order to make diagnoses and therapeutical plans and taking care of the relationship with the patient. These professionals are furthermore able to cooperate with Study and Research Centres and didactic institutions.
Areas of activity
Research activity avails itself of laboratories, surgeries and facilities where assistance and scientific activity simultaneously take place. The most important didactic, scientific and technical-organisational commitment currently concerns Prevention and Rehabilitation due to their growing importance in modern society.
Our work particularly focuses on the needs concerning a correct development of individuals at pediatric and developing age troubled by hypokinetic syndromes related to sedentariness as well as care and assistance of adults and elderly.
